My favorite tools to use as a full-time agriculture content creator

I’m a save money yet make my life easier girl.

When I started sharing online, it wasn’t sure it would turn into anything. I simply wanted to hold myself accountable to my fitness journey and started sprinkling in some farm life when I would come home on the weekends during calving season in college. I started getting questions about livestock that I thought everyone knew the answers to — and thus, That Fit Agvocate was born. I’ve learned a lot over the years and have tried out a lot of tools to make my life easier on the farm gathering content. Keep reading this blog post if you want the direct links & information for my favorite tools I use on a regular basis!

This is my go-to tripod for capturing content most days. The legs are completely flexible, which makes it easy to set on virtually any surface — including around gates, on equipment, on the ground, etc. I love this one for overall use and all types of content creation (reels, YouTube vlogs, stories, etc.)

This harness was a spur of the moment purchase. I was struggling to get tagging content without always having to prop my phone up in different locations and then forget about it, move out of the camera view, etc. This allows me to get some ‘GoPro’ style content without having a GoPro myself. It’s not perfect, but a fun and affordable addition to my line-up!

I finally found a suction cup phone holder that actually stays in place AND is movable between equipment for getting content. We all know how rough fields can be & I’ve tried a handful of suction cup phone mounts over the year. This one has never once fallen off the window while moving! It’s a ‘have to have’ for me!

I will preface this one by saying ‘use at your own risk’ because we all know that equipment can be rough. I have mounted this with my phone on a few pieces of equipment while moving and have not had issues. I also use it on magnetic gates, buildings, etc. for gathering content as well.

This isn’t the most incredible microphone out there, but it does well for what I use it for. I mainly use it in equipment so my voice comes over the air conditioning, tractor engine, etc. in my vlogs! It connects really quick and picks up my voice really well. My YouTube audience thinks it works great for my vlogs! If you’re looking for one to use daily, I’d find a higher cost one.
